Well, I've finally done got round to updating my website with lots of juicy new King Julien boards and animatics. Please check 'em out and I hope you enjoy it! https://www.stevenevangelatos.com/king-julien-navigation.html And while you're there please check out the rest of the site. This is a good place to start: https://www.stevenevangelatos.com/
It's been a while since I've posted in the blog, but I've updated the "This Month's Short" section with a new flick. This was part of a series of animated bloopers I directed for Cartoon Network about a decade ago. Click the image to watch. Enjoy!
I was going through the back of my studio desk and came across these ads I drew a number of years ago. When I first moved to Nelson eight years ago, the first people I got to know well were Brian and Robyn, owners of what many considered to be Nelson's most popular restaurant, The Redfish Grill. They asked me to do a few funny comic-style ads for the restaurant, and these were the result, published in our local newspaper. The Refish burnt down two years ago, but Brian and Robyn are still good friends.
A digital painting I did recently for a local backcountry cat ski lodge, and Kootenay Mountain Culture magazine. (Click on image to enlarge).
An oldie but a goodie. I designed and directed this ages ago, but people have been buggin' me to post it again, so it's this month's short!
This is a cartoon "Blooper" I directed for Warner Bros. a few years ago, featuring Foghorn Leghorn trying to get his lines right in a scene with Chickenhawk. Enjoy!
This month's short is one I did several years ago as a work-for -hire for Cartoon Network. It features Gary Coleman, David Cross and Mark Hamill...all playing themselves! This is Part I. Go to my website to see Part II. Click here to watch.
I'm between jobs for a couple of weeks, so I'm back working on another pitch. It's a family comedy called The Rockwells, about a dad who gets conned into taking his dysfunctional family to Mars. Yep. Stay tuned.
This video Christmas Card was made a few years ago and sent to clients all over the world...actually, it was so long ago, I think we sent them out on
The first time I saw this was at the Christmas party at the Camden, England studio of Richard Williams, where I was working. That was 21 years ago, but hey, it's exactly two weeks to Christmas day 2011, so I thought it's time to get in the spirit of the season and watch it again. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!
